A Love-Filled Elopement Session.
Earlier this year, Marie contacted me with ideas to shoot a creative elopement. We quickly got to work planning a romantic lake session. As Marie and Garner are active campers, and canoers, we made sure to add in elements that reflected their personalities.
Our session took place at McIvor Lake, in Campbell River. We began on the road in the forest with some intimate portraits and a little bit of dancing.
To the lake.
We continued our session by heading down to the lake and getting in their families' canoe. They paddled together with the most beautiful gifted set of hand-made wooden paddles, gifted to them at their wedding by a friend. This session exceeded both my and Marie's expectations. We had the most beautiful, calm weather, and enjoyed a completely empty lake. We wanted to create some dreamy, romantic, almost storybook images and we truly feel like we achieved our goal.
